I’m an associate professor of political science at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. My research and teaching are primarily in political philosophy and the human sciences. I have further interests in statistics and data science, marathon swimming, environmental stewardship, and value investing in water-related securities. I am a founding member and director of the Great Lakes Trust, and the founder and principal at Mercator Analytics Incorporated. I received my doctorate from M.I.T. in 2001.
